Vegan

A great benefit of purchasing our soy wax candles is they are vegan! Many popular candle brands on the market are made with beeswax, contain animal derived emulsifiers, or are paraffin wax based (bad for people, animals and the environment). We have taken many steps to minimize our environmental impact throughout our production process, and with Vegan Candle Co. you know you are getting a candle that is vegan, eco-friendly, made with the most thoughtful ingredients, sustainable, and recyclable.

Natural

A candle made from a natural, renewable resource such as soy beans is better for you, your family, pets, and the environment. Our soy candles help support local farmers, as they are made with 100% soy wax from domestically grown soy beans. Compared to paraffin wax, soy wax does not have the harmful ingredients such as petroleum, a nonrenewable source that contains carcinogenic substances and does not produce a "clean" burn.

Wood wicks provide a unique visual and audible experience, from the flat horizontal shape of the flame to the soft crackling sound. They provide a modern, unique aesthetic, and look incredible in our Verite Collection as well!

Better yet, you can relax knowing you're doing good for the planet. Our wood wicks are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified. FSC Certification is based on following stringent guidelines in the harvesting, planting and protection of forests, and responsible environmental management.

It's important to care for your wood wick candle properly to ensure you get the full effect and burn time from your candle. A wooden wick should be trimmed after every use. If the wood wick is too tall and not trimmed between uses, the flame will not be close enough to the wax to melt it and create an even wax pool. It may also result in a very low flame or extinguish itself. It is very important to trim the wicks to between 1/8” – 3/16”.
